Save Water, Embrace Smart Irrigation

As the temperatures rise this summer, it is crucial that we all play our part in conserving water and making sustainable choices, especially when it comes to irrigation. That's why we are excited to announce our participation in Smart Irrigation Month, a nationwide campaign that promotes the importance of efficient irrigation practices.

Smart Irrigation Month, led by the Irrigation Association, is an initiative aimed at raising awareness about the benefits of smart irrigation technology and encouraging water-efficient choices in outdoor water use. At Contra Costa Water District, we believe in the power of informed choices and water-saving solutions to sustain our water supply for future generations.

During Smart Irrigation Month, we invite you to join us in making water-efficient choices for your irrigation needs. Here are some key resources and initiatives we want to highlight:

  1. Smart Irrigation Controller Rebate: Take advantage of our Smart Irrigation Controller Rebate program, which provides financial incentives for upgrading to water-saving smart controllers. These controllers use weather data or soil moisture sensors to adjust watering schedules based on real-time conditions, optimizing irrigation efficiency.
  2. Learn from the Experts: Explore a wealth of information and resources on efficient irrigation systems, including tips for watering wisely, scheduling irrigation, and maintaining your system for optimal performance.
  3. Drip Irrigation Webinar Replay: Learn about drip irrigation with Contra Costa Water District Water Use Efficiency Specialist, Bob Eagle. This recorded webinar covers the basic components of a drip irrigation system and how to install one.

By embracing smart irrigation practices, we can collectively conserve water, reduce water bills, and protect our environment. Let's make this summer a season of water efficiency and responsible irrigation.
