In November, the District participated in the Girls Lead the Way STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Summit, which was presented by Chevron in partnership with the Contra Costa Economic Partnership, Contra Costa Transportation Authority, and Bishop Ranch. This full-day event featured inspiring speakers, hands-on STEM activities, and opportunities for the future workforce to learn about career paths in STEM-related fields. Students from six middle schools in Contra Costa and Alameda counties, including Oak Grove Middle School in Concord and Martin Luther King, Jr. Junior High School in Pittsburg, participated in the event.
