Full Day Facilities Tours

Join us for a day of learning about your water system. Tour major facilities that make your tap water some of the best in the country.

Details

  • Tours begin in Concord at 8 a.m. sharp. We aim to return by 3:30 p.m.
  • All participants must ride on bus. Attendees may not follow along in their own vehicle.
  • Lunch and light refreshments are provided.
  • Group bookings are not accepted.

Requirements

  • Attendees must live or work in the Contra Costa Water District service area.
  • Attendees must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Attendees must be able to climb stairs and walk a fair amount throughout the day.

How to Dress

  • Attendees must wear comfortable closed-toe shoes.
  • Attendees are advised to wear layers, including long pants, long-sleeve shirts and jackets.
  • Depending on the weather, attendees may want to bring a hat and sunblock.

1.5 Hour Water Treatment Plant Tour

Join us for a 1.5 hour tour to learn about a state-of-the-art water treatment facility that provides safe, high-quality drinking water.

  • Tours begin at 8:30 a.m. sharp. 
  • Meet at the Ralph D. Bollman Water Treatment Plant in Concord.
  • Group bookings are not accepted.

  • Attendees must be at least 18 years of age.
