Working at District Facilities

Contractor Safety Orientation

We are committed to keeping employees, contractors and the public safe while working with the District. Contractors may potentially be required to complete an online safety orientation training that provides a basic overview of the tools and knowledge needed to work safely at CCWD. More information will be provided during contract execution.

Contractor/Consultant Safe Practices Handbook

We require all contractors working at District facilities to read our Contractor/Consultant Safe Practices Handbook (PDF), and sign and submit an acknowledgement form to the District. All contractors' employees must have access to this handbook.

Recycled Water Truck Fill Program

Central Contra Costa Sanitary District (Central San) offers recycled water to licensed contractors for construction uses to help conserve drinking water use in central Contra Costa County. For more information on water for construction activities or other non-potable uses, visit Central San’s website or call 925-957-7632.

Temporary Hydrant Meters

Information is available on our Temporary Hydrant Meters page. Please note that recycled water should be used for construction and dust control where available.
