Water Education Programs On Hold

To educators and parents:

In light of the presence of COVID-19 in our community, the Contra Costa Water District (CCWD) is evaluating all programs and events to determine which are essential to the delivery of safe, reliable drinking water to our customers.

Per the latest health guidelines, Water Treatment Plant Tours, Los Vaqueros Watershed Field Trips, Classroom Programs and Water Assemblies are suspended until further noticeWe will continue to evaluate the situation as new information on the virus becomes available.

The decision to suspend our water education programs did not come easily, as we understand these programs are highly appreciated by students and play a crucial role in many educators’ curriculum; we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. All affected schools will be contacted by a WEP representative.

Can I reschedule?

We hope to reschedule the water education programs; however, it is unclear at this time how long our area will be affected by COVID-19.

For additional questions or concerns, please call (925) 688-8307 or email Water Education Program staff.
