CCWD's Los Vaqueros Reservoir can store up to 100,000 acre-feet of high quality water for the District's customers.

In addition, the nearly 20,000 acres of protected watershed surrounding the reservoir is a popular recreation area with more than 55 miles of picturesque trails.

The reservoir and watershed are open 365-days a year, and fishing is available. A weekly fishing report is now on-line. The marina is stocked with fishing supplies, snacks, ice cream and hot food.

The John Muir Interpretive Center at Los Vaqueros is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and has exhibits explaining the history of the area. We have programs at the center nearly all year long. Look here to see the current schedule.
