Steps to Participate

Step 1

Read the Program Terms and Conditions and the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s).  Then request an application online or by calling 925-688-8320.

 

Step 2

Once you receive the application, read and sign.  Then send the application to CCWD for review.  (Do not start working on the project until you have received your Notice to Proceed letter.)

 

Step 3

CCWD will call you to schedule and conduct a pre-project inspection to verify site eligibility and to measure the proposed lawn area to be converted.

 

Step 4

If your site is approved, CCWD will mail a Notice to Proceed letter.  Start your project when you receive this letter. You have four months from the date of the letter to complete your project.

 

Step 5

Call CCWD to schedule a post-project inspection when your project is completed.  A CCWD staff member will verify that your project was completed according to the Program’s Terms and Conditions. 

 

Step 6

Once the post-project inspection is completed, and CCWD verifies the project meets the Program's Terms and Conditions; CCWD will process the rebate check and mail it to you.
