The John Muir Interpretive Center at Los Vaqueros is open to the public three days a week: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Located next to the dam, the center tells the history of the Los Vaqueros area, shows how the dam was built and describes the many animals that make the watershed their home.
On Monday through Thursday and sometimes on Fridays, the center is used for school programs.
