Interpretive Center Programs

The Los Vaqueros Watershed's North Side will reopen to the public on Saturday, July 14 at 6 a.m.

There will be free parking all day on both sides of the reservoir, and have a number of programs and activities at the updated Los Vaqueros Interpretive Center. The center reopens at 9 a.m.

People will be able to hike to the top of the 34-foot-taller dam, and most of the trails will be open again.

The nearly 20,000-acre watershed will be open seven days a week. During the summer, its open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

As construction activity winds down, more fishing areas will open on the south entrance near Livermore.

Not all of the trails will reopen on July 14, but most of the the now 58 miles of trails will be open.

We'll have a trail map and more information as July 14 gets closer.

Check back, send us an e-mail or sign-up for our Los Vaqueros E-Mail Newsletter and we'll keep you updated on the day's activities.
